- with limited enrollment -

May 11, 2020

Dear National Elite Gymnastic Families,

We are grateful to all of you who have reached out with kind words and support during this time. You all have been greatly missed as well!  We miss the energy and excitement of our athletes and yearn for return back to a “new normal” in the safest way possible.

We want to assure you we take the safety and well-being of NEG students, families and staff very seriously. During this time apart, our staff has been working for the future (while maintaining distancing and sanitation protocols) – making improvements to our facilities, updating our systems, and modifying our operations so that we are prepared for when that day may come.

For more than a month, we have been deep cleaning every nook & cranny of the gym. We have doubled, tripled, and quadrupled our efforts to clean, paint and renovate the building. We are excited for you to experience our new, clean facility!

In accordance with the most recent social distancing recommendations, we are ready to re-open classes for our teams and select rec athletes on May 18th under a limited enrollment model. Our Summer Camp schedule will start on June 1st honoring reduced classroom size guidelines from State childcare licensing requirements. *

Here is some important information for the strategies and plans we are implementing to help protect all and provide a safe and clean gymnastics experience for every child.
We will continue to keep the entire gym cleaned and sanitized for your family’s well-being. We will sanitize surfaces/mats in between each class, as well as deep clean the entire gym at the end of each day.

We will be taking temperatures with forehead thermometers (touchless infrared thermometers) of every child before acceptance into the gym.

We ask parents to remain out of the gym and viewing area at this time and are in the process of creating a pick-up & drop-off protocol.

We are following the governor’s orders of 25% occupancy in the gym to keep social distancing protocols. Teachers will practice Social Distancing during gymnastics classes as well. Our coaches will be using verbal ques and minimal contact for hands off corrections, at this time. However, if a student needs hands on,  or a “spot”  we will offer assistance to assure the safety of the athlete.

Hand sanitizer will be provided to all students in our regular big bottles throughout the gym. We will require gymnasts to wash their hands before class, during water breaks, and after class. Our staff will wash their hands and use hand sanitizer several times during classes as well.

We are asking athletes with cough, runny nose or slightest health concern to stay home.  All athletes must be symptom free to be allowed in the facility.

Over the next few weeks, you will receive emails and phone calls regarding class availability, summer camp, clinics, etc. We plan is to offer class slots to our current customers first before opening up to new students.

We understand that every family has their own situations to consider and welcome any questions, suggestions or discussion regarding your concerns.  We invite you to have an open dialogue with us regarding these. Your family’s health and safety are our number one priority, and we want to be here for you in whatever capacity we are capable of.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. We will continue to update our website as well as email clients regarding changes or shifts that happen in the news in regards to NEG.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support of our small business during this time. As always, we want your child’s favorite day of the week to be at NEG!

We wish all our families good health and look forward to seeing you all soon.

- Mark England & The NEG Team

* According to the Child Care Licensing division of Texas Department of Family Protective Services and the City of Austin Public Health Department, childcare providers will remain solely with one group of 9 children (or fewer) with no children switching from one group to another. We will keep separate groups of children in separate rooms. All of these guidelines were set in place on May 3rd and may be relaxed by June 1st. Please be prepared for any changes that need to be made structurally. We will have printouts posted on all glass doors with all of this information. On Wednesday, May 13th, the Austin-Travis County COVID-19 Child Care Task Force will be hosting a webinar for childcare providers to discuss experiences during this time and to share ideas and strategies. We will follow up with after this meeting with an email for all of our summer camp/child care parents.

1.  When we re-open there will be additional classes added specifically for make-ups for those that missed class in March due to the stay-at-home order.
2.  We will not charge anyone for the months going forward until NEG is back open and your child is back in class.
3.  We want all of our clients to be happy and healthy and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as possible.

March 25th
